Small gathering

My ex-junior high school friend, Brenda Chiuman with her family came from USA. I arranged small gathering with our ex-schoolmates at lunch hour, the venue was at Taman Anggrek Mall. She has two boys, Alaric (8 yrs) and Tristan (1yr). She is fully housewife looking after her two kids without any babysitter. I always admire with those mommies that able handle their kids alone. Perhaps they are forced to be independent and adapted with the environment. In Indonesia, i believe most of the mommies have maid and babysitter around. That's one of the best facilities provided, in the pay of the security and welfare in which are concerned here.

Brenda was a good friend of mine in Junior high school. We were pretty closed and like to hang out together. We are separated when we stepped to the next level, Senior high school. She had chosen to Business major, and i preferred Science major. I reckon, she was one of the most popular student at school. She's got the look..tall, slim, and very friendly. We began lost contact when she continued her studies to the state, and i went to Australia. However, we definitely met each other if we happened at the same town.
Currently, glad to know that she is doing fine with her two kids. I always love to share things with her, and every time i look at her, it reminds me of our teenage days. Time flies....

Happy's 3 years old Bday

Happy was helping out in making sushi .. She was happily put the mangoes on the rice but she held me up of rolling the sushi. *sigh* It took around 2 hours to finish it.


I held a small party at home to celebrate Happy 3 years old bday. Her actual birthday date was 14 November. But i celebrated it on the next day, which felt on Sunday. I invited a few closed friends of mine, Happy's neighbourhood friends and relatives. I made sushi in addition of fried seasoning chicken, tauco prawns, fried noodles, cap chai (vegetable) and fishball soup. My sis in law brought Ice Cendol.

Cherish was playing the TV remote control before the party.

Happy was joyfully entertained her friends by sharing all her toys. Unexpectedly that the nanny and maids came together. I missed count on this part, thus KFC and Pizza were definitely crossed my mind at once. I decided to order Pizza to assure everybody stomach bloated home . This is a very general issues that every kid has his/her own guard (nanny).

Happy's birthday cake ordered via phone. Happy was astonished with the cake at first, and have been kept looking on it. This was 2 levels cake. The first level was a cork with a thin green creamy on it. the second was the cake. The toys took an important role to make the cake looks attractive. I ordered Winnie the Pooh character as this was one of the character she like. By right she preferred to Spiderman :)

Overall the party was succeed, hope this celebration would provide a significant meaning for her.

Vomit part II

Faith-Healing


This is an updated post on Happy Sickness of Vomit.



Having a thought that my girl would not be eating any wrong foods that caused her vomit (20 nov evening time), i was wrong. Her vomit problem was not yet settled down. Since it was sunday (3rd day), i brought her to an alternative healing (pekpek) instead of ICU. I always have a mind that if she was still able to stand of her sickness, did not show fatigue,still active even though she lost weigth drastically, i tried not to leave her hospitalized.

Pekpek gave a bottle of syrup (mixture of few medicines), taken 3x/ day. Her first spoon, was fine in an hour. Pekpek allowed her to eat anything she liked. But i dare not to give heavy meals yet, i gave misua instead as it might slowly adjusted her tummy in digestion. She finished all, but in half an hour, she threw up again. It was about 3x vomit until the next morning. Every time she puked, i gave her about 30ml Renalyte solution to prevent dehydration, half an hour later i gave 60ml milk (lessen the milk powder). Glad that she was not that fussy to drink.


The next early morning, i gave her the medicine again before her breakfast. (60ml bottle of milk with small piece of bread). But the medicine did not work. She kept saying that the tummy was painful since yesterday and it shown bloated.It panicked me, i was afraid she might had a gastric problem. I decided to bring her back to the same doctor by stopping pekpek's medicine. The doctor clearly verdicted that was a virus/ bacteria. The doctor suggested to put her on hospitalized if the new medicine prescribed did not work. Thanks God, she did not throw up the whole day, but worries did not end yet, Diarrhea came.



I remembered on her first visit, the doctor had prescribed the medicines (BIODIAR) for diarrhea too. I gave her only Biscuit Regal (rich in protein and calorie), bread and milk. But the looseness bowels getting worse. It was about 10x on that day. I considered a severe stage. I consulted the doctor via message, he advised me of keep giving the medicines + Renalyte solution.



It has been 3 days, there was no sign yet of recovery. My energy had run out, felt exhausted and stressed in facing her stubborn character ( insisting to have the foods that not supposed to have). I could not get any more pressure, i left her with the maid and went for reflexology. I felt guilty too, coincidentally my cousin called and advised me of having vegetarian for 3days. I followed her and every night i pray..... God listened... It worked... Finally on my 2nd day vegetarian, there was a sign of recovery. I had a good sleep since then. Thank you thank you Amitofo

Vomit

Happy had vomited 3 times. the first when she was having her dinner, second was after she finished up around 100ml water, and the last when during her sleep. She did mention an abdominal pain but i did not thoroughly checked. Instead I gave her Manuka Honey active 15+, but she vomited straigth away. Thus to soothe her belly i did not give her anymore drink or food for about half an hour, but I rubbed her tummy with a mixture of onion and oilmen to calm it down.

I kept wondering what was the cause as she had just as normal in a day time. There was no sign of sickness during the day. Would it because of the weather? It was windy when she took a stroll but i put her on jacket. It would not be of any virus/bacteria have infected her stomach as she had no diarrhoea. I would not force her of drinking the electrolite solution as there was no symtoms of dehydration yet. I just hope the vomit ends tonigth.

My best friend came

The photo was taken on 25 June 2009, my best friend's daughter Ong Ziyi, with happy were feeding the fishes. The fishes were happily overfed as they just poured the foods without knowing that the fishes were floated.

About half year from the above photo,they were playing cashier together at home before lunch. they did not really know of how to play it, basically they just opened the drawer , made a withdrawal, and anyhow pressed the numbers. Happy was sick at that time and Ziyi just came back from Europe.

By different age of 6mths, Ziyi have shown more independent than Happy. She is much easy to be taken care of. Perhaps have been travelled around with her mom since small and without any babysitter at her side. On the contrary, Happy had a babysitter since she was born, and part of the spoilt occured was definitely caused by this.

Blackout...help!!

It was blackout and the weather was so hot,i felt air-less. Thus I brought Happy and Cherish to Emporium Mall to chill our body :)

Coincidentally, Happy bumped into her classmate, Floriana Hoei 3yrs+, who is few months older than her. She surprised me that she able to write all aphabets and her own name.

She likes the most to slide all the way down.

My 2 kids are sick :(

It has been more than a week, my 2 daughters are sick. Cherish got cough and flu, have controlled twice to a different doctors. The first doctor prescribed Cariamyl for cough, Breathy and Insudrin for her flu. After 4 days consumed the medicines, my judgement show there was no improvement of her sickness. Then i went to another doctor where he prescribed a mixture of few medicines (ventolin 2mg tab, Avil 25mg, Kenacort 4mg, mucopect 30mg, romilar 15mg, sacharine 10mg ) and antibiotic (Abbotic gran 30ml 12, CDR EFF 10S). The doctor advised to give the antibiotic if the sickness got worse after 3 days. I have been hesitating to give and after have been waiting for about 4 days, eventually today i give her. I pray hard that the cough will get better soon.

Happy had the same sickness as Cherish. However the cough came with a fever on her 3rd day.On the 2nd nigth fever, it hit up to 38.6, i gave her panadol every 4 hours and compress her head, then i put the cold fever patch on her forehead. The next day, the fever was slightly declined, i was still giving her the panadol but in duration 6 hours to make sure the fever is totally cured. However, things were not as planned. At nigth, the fever rise up to 39.2 (Armpit temperature measurement), my hubby checked the internet to find out more information about denque fever. Thanks god, happy did not carry any symptoms of denque. Thus, i could just sit down at side, pray hard, and merely compressed her head (Thats also the 1st time i saw my hubby shared the load in looking after her).

The next evening day, the fever was still there about 38.4, i decided went back to hospital, and asked for hospitilised her to avoid any risk that might happen during the midnigth and will get a precise treatment if the heat rise up to 39 again. However, the nurse was not advised me to do so as Happy at that time was still active, nothing serious yet to be concerned of. Simultaneously, she said that need to be infused if want to stay in, which i did not agree. Hence, i brought her home with mind not in peace, i was so anxious about her fever. Funny to say that, her cough and flu suddenly were not a main concern anymore as they were much better.

I have tried many ways to reduce her body heat,i.e., naked hug, heard that it could transfer the heat (she shy about it, and pushed me away..haha ..thought i shuld be the one that who ashamed of it).. put towel on every folded area of her body (my hubby didnot like me did that, disturbed her sleep). Finally, the fever was slightly better during that nigth and the next day her fever was getting better.

I gave her a chinese medicine "Phi Pha Kau" with the help of Manuka Honey MGO 100 on her first cold. However the cough was getting worse,then i decided to go doctor. The doctor had prescribed 2 medicines. One was for her flu+cough, another one was antibiotic. Meanwhile, though the first medicine left a quarter, antibiotic finished, the cough is not fully recovered yet.

After i have been putting so much efforts, at the end of the day her body was still weak. I put her on rest at home for 3days from school. She had missed the fieldtrip to Kidzania. I felt so sorry for her as I heard the place is the finest one for kids to play and learn. Currently, i am considering of giving her a school break for 1 term, in which fall on January-March. In order not to be drawn back of her academic, i am thinking of intensive tuition class. Anyway, I am trying to figure out what is the best for her health.

Cherish first trip flight to Medan

On 29 Sept 2009, finally i arrived at my hometown (Medan) with my 2kids and Mom after lebaran days were over. My hubby joined us few days later. Before on board, i was worried of them, afraid of Cherish not able to take the turbulence and Happy would not want to sit on her own. However, my worriness were not necessary, everything went fine. My 2 kids were sleep during the 2hours flight. Infact, Happy felt asleep first after a few minutes the flight took off and have said: Byebye Papa. Funnily, when she woke up after the plane landed and she still mentioned: Byebye Papa...i guess she still thought that the flight just started to take off. hahaha

I could consider it as a short holiday too. But actually this trip has planned last few months to pay the respect of my late father on 5Oct2009. It has been a year, but still just an overnigth to me. Everything is still the same, but now my dad is not around anymore. I feel so terrible when everytime i think of him. I had no chance to tell him how much i love him at his last minute in this world and so many words to tell... especially would like to say : Thank you dad for bringing me up to what i am now and sorry for any mistakes that i have done.

My mom is my savior

My mom came to help on lebaran days. Surprisingly my two daughters were easily managed without the nanny and maids. The days that i was worried of before the maids gone kampoeng was not as scary as i thought. In fact, all were fine.

We always had our breakfast and lunch at home, but dinner at outside everyday. mostly we had supper such as, ice kacang, cendol, emie or springroll etc.

Its a close collaboration and definitely a lovely days to spent on.

pre-lebaran days

It has been a month i have been away from my blogs. The idul fitri has over and i was just back from my hometown (medan). There are few stories i would like to share on before and after the lebaran days.

Post-lebaran (fasting month)

On 12 Sept, there was a midnight shopping held at pluit-village. Initially i was reluctant to go, but considering the mall vouchers given, attracted me of going. After i get my kids on bed, I went to the mall with my maid and fortunately, my hubby joined me after his back home from work. At the end of the “Latenite-Shop”, i spent almost Rp 800,000 at Matahari department store and earned 9 vouchers @Rp50,000 and 3 lucky draw numbers. Every Rp250,000 eligible for Rp150,000 voucher. It took me an hour to queue up for the vouchers and the lucky draw will be announced half an hour later (as per informed).Thus, my hubby decided to wait by having a Heavenly Blush Yogurt and the donutts at Jco. My preference told that the Heavenly Blush Yogurt is much better than the Jco’s one.

I felt regret when our numbers missed. It made me more exhausted and ended us reached home at around 4am. However, its amazing to tell that even with my whole body bones felt broken, but i again went to the mall when another maid asked for it.

My second trip caused my spending increased up by Rp650,000. Earned 4 vouchers mall as the regulation has changed to 100,000 vouchers instead of 150,000. But my spirit and energy has fully recharged in a second when the Presenter announced out my number that i obtained previously. I was joyfully up to the stage to get the prize which was a Panasonic Camcorder.

At the same day ,we went back to the same mall as we were going to join the "Cash-Grab" held at Best Denki. We have 20 draw numbers where we had spent Rp40 millions last month. We have waited for about 1.5hrs, finally our number out. Rp127,000 on pocket after tax deduction, and we spent it on japanese foods. Both prizes had made my weekend ichiban (wonderful)

Hubby came home

Happy was excited knowing that her daddy in town. She kept calling her dad's phone, definitely asking where was the hand phone that her dad took few days ago . I kept wondering how on earth that she still remembered about it?

When her dad reached home, she was gloriously hugging him. At that moment, I felt happy and being proud of having this family. Thanks to my parents that have given the best guidance in life.

Swinging along ....

Yesterday, I had a wonderfull evening, took a stroll with my two lovely daughters Happy and Cherish with a babysitter helped. Happy was so excited with the ballet apparel received from her aunt.In fact, that apparel has been sitting in the drawer for couple of months already. She was wearing it and kept turning around as if she was a ballerina.

Confusedly Cherish looking around wondering where she was. This was the first stroll for her, and I will make it as a daily routine.

Stressful night

Will have a night battle with Happy cough. she had an earlier slept due to the missing part of taking nap in the noon time. However just after her few minutes slept, her persistent dry cough make her thrown up. Fortunately, i had my plastic bowl ready at bed side, and it wouldnt mess up my bed sheet. she cried as she hate the spew smell (for reckon, she changes her shirts few times in a day just because of a small drop of water :) )

Having seeking an advices from few friends, besides medication prescribed, somes recommended a spoonfull of honey to ease the cough, others recomended by using the Vicks VapoRub to rub on the bottom of the feet and cover with socks to smooth the cough and sore throat. I guess this depends on one's believe. As this isnt make any serious problem, i apply on happy's feet and i feel it helps in a way.Remember: Do not apply Vicks under nostrils as it will end up a serious problem on respitory system. The product should be applied to the chest, throat or aching muscles and used on children over 2. I have read a few articles sharing the same opinion.Seems i have done what it needs to be done. I pray hard hoping that the cough will not get worse tomorrow.

oh bed oh bed..wait me

Midnite.....after has been reading and searching the needed buttons to customize my blog, i finally able to start posting some of my today's latenite activities here eventhough still hav few things need to be neated arranged. Happy and Cherish have slept, this is the time that normally im njoying myself by surfing the net with papaya and pear fruits at side.And now im addicted in playing the game that called Farmville on FB. My friend was so objected of seeing me playing this game as yeah according to her better use the time in updating her blog rather than spend in the game. But yeah..thats still goes to preferences:) However by looking on her blogs, that inspired me of following to get one too. Hope she might be proud of herself in successing persuaded me to have one. But the problem occur...as this is the beginning of writing, im kind of confused what to post it...i guess i should stop here for meanwhile, will start active in posting some upcoming stories with new photos attached.
